Bronchiolitis and dexamethasone

Many parents rush their babies to the hospital because of wheezing. Wheezing caused by viral infection called RSV (Respiratory Synsitial Virus) or bronchiolitis almost always require hospitalization. RSV is treated by dexamethasone an oral corticosteroid. However recent studies showed that dexamethasone is not effective in RSV or bronchiolitis.
