New FDA Approved Treatment for Impetigo

FDA has recently approved a new topical treatment for Impetigo. The new treatment, Retapamulin (Altabax 1%) can be used twice a day on patients even as young as nine months old. This new medication has an impressive success rate of 91.2%. This is seen to be as very helpful for children suffering from this highly contagious disease which mostly affects children from ages two to six.
