In a resent report from Annals of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology, researchers showed that sesame allergy is increasing in the USA and other developed countries.
They found that all three varieties of sesame seed (brown, black, and white) have been reported to trigger allergice reactions.
The Federal Drug Administration is considering including sesame in the major allergen listing for labeling purpose in the USA.
