Reach for the Mobile
When your baby is on his back in the crib, bring down the mobile to a height that he could barely reach the lowest part of the mobile.
Encourage him to touch and reach for the mobile with his right index or middle finger.
Make the first trial a success by lowering the mobile to a height that he would not miss reaching and moving the mobile.
Then make it a little bit higher so he will make a little effort in reaching for the mobile.
Make him successful all the time by controlling the height of the mobile.
Give your positive response by making happy face or smiling or saying “good boy” with great enthusiasm each time he touches the mobile.
[Caution: make sure that the mobile is very secured so it won’t fall down on the baby.
You should be supervising this activity 100% of the
time.]
