Osteomylitis
Fever, poor appetite, or pain in the involved bone are the usual findings.
Prolonged or recurrent fever might be the only symptom.
P. E. shows redness, swelling, local tenderness at the involved bone.
It is an infection of the bone usually from Staphylococcus aureus.
Other bacterial cause are Group A strep and Haemophilus influenzae.
Children with blood disorder can have Salmonella, Shigella, E coli.
