If your child has LimB Pain please print and answer these questions before seeing your clinician:
1. Where is it painful? (Which part of the body)
2. What is painful (joint, muscle, bone)?
3. Since when was it painful? (Acute, chronic or progressive)
4. When is it painful (on walking, all day, or at night time)? (Growing pains usually occur at night. Fracture pains are persistent.)
5. If at night only, does the pain resolve next morning? (Growing pains resolve by day time.)
6. Is there a fever? If yes, how long and how high?
7. Did the child have any history of fall or injury?
8. Is the child involved in any strenuous activities?
9. Is there abnormal movement in the child like limping?
10. Is there joint deformity, swelling or skin rashes?
You child's clinician might ask more questions depending on your answers.
